OKRA SALAD 
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1 lg. chopped tomato, ripe
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp. cornmeal
1 lb. sliced okra

Mix the okra and cornmeal and fry until tender in small amount of oil. Then mix with the vegetables and top with the Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle with bacon bits and serve.
