AUNT MILLIE'S DEVIL'S FOOD CUP CAKES | |
2 c. sugar 2 eggs 1 c. oil 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 2 c. flour 1/2 c. cocoa 1 c. buttermilk 1 c. boiling water Mix sugar, eggs, and oil well with mixer. Add flour and other dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk. Mix thoroughly. Add boiling water. Put into paper cupcake holders or greased muffin pans. Makes about 2 dozen cupcakes or 1 small cake. Bake at 350 degrees until edges are brown, about 20 minutes for cupcakes or 25- 30 minutes for a cake. (Be sure water is very hot when you put it in. This is very good and moist.) |
