LEMON BREAD 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
Grate rind of 2 lemons
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. milk

LEMON GLAZE:

Juice of 1 lemon
1/2 c. sugar

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs thoroughly. Add flour, baking powder and salt alternately with milk. Add nuts and lemon rind. Grease two 8 x 4 inch bread pans. Bake loaves at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. Glaze with lemon mixture.
