“DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CRISPS” IS IN:

DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CRISPS 
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup cocoa
1/4 cup buttermilk
2 cups quick or old-fashioned oats, toasted
1 package (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces

Beat butter and sugar together until creamy and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.

Sift together flour, soda, salt and cocoa. Add alternately with buttermilk to creamed mixture. Stir in oats and chocolate pieces.

Chill thoroughly. Drop in teaspoonsful about 2 inches apart onto lightly greased cookie sheet.

Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 15 minutes.

Remove from oven and cool on wire rack.
