DOUBLE CHOCOLATE WALNUT CLUSTERS | |
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels 1/2 cup shortening 1 cup granulated sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 egg, unbeaten 2 tbsp. milk 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 3/4 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped Melt 1/2 cup (1/2 package) morsels over hot (not boiling) water. Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla together until fluffy. Blend in melted chocolate and egg, beating well. Stir in milk. Re-sift flour with baking powder and salt. Blend dry ingredients into creamed mixture. Stir into remaining 1/2 cup morsels and walnuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls about two inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350°F for about 15 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Makes about 4 dozen. Submitted by: CM |
