HOMEMADE LIGHT BREAD | |
At night, set to rise or work overnight. Ingredients were mixed covered and set in a warm place to rise. 1 cake yeast, mixed or dissolved in lukewarm water 1 tbsp. salt 2 tbsp. sugar In the morning add 3 cups warm water. Mix. Add flour to make a stiff dough. Using hands making dough as stiff as could possibly be worked. Set, let rise. Then take out of container, beat again with dough pin. Form in loaves, each loaf separately greased, place in a pan, side by side. Let bread rise as much as possible, usually it never failed. Bake until brown. "Yum, yum, I know, for my Mom always used this recipe and it was so good." |
