BAKED CABBAGE 
2 lb. head cabbage
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 c. milk
1 tbsp. butter, melted
3/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. paprika
3/4 c. soft bread crumbs
1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
2 tbsp. butter, melted

Shred cabbage and place in saucepan with 1/2 cup boiling water and 1 teaspoon salt. Bring to boil, uncovered. Cook 5 minutes or until almost tender. Drain, place in buttered 1 1/2 quart casserole.

Combine eggs, milk, 1 tablespoon butter, 3/4 teaspoon salt, pepper and paprika. Pour over cabbage and bake at 350 degrees until set. Combine bread crumbs, 2 tablespoons butter and grated cheese. Sprinkle over cabbage. Return to oven to brown crumbs and melt cheese.
