"GRANNY CAKE" 
PART I:

1-1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

PART II:

3/4 c. brown sugar
Nuts

PART III:

1 stick butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 can evap. milk

Mix Part I well. Combine Part II together and sprinkle over top of cake. Bake in 9 x 13 inch baking dish at 325 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. About 15 minutes before done, combine Part III together. Bring to boil, then pour over cake as soon as you take it from oven. Can be served hot or cold with Cool Whip.
