"AUNTIE'S" FRENCH TOAST 
4 eggs
2/3 c. orange juice
1/3 c. milk
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 loaf Italian bread, cut in 1-inch slices
1/3 c. melted butter
grated orange peel to taste
3/4 c. pecan pieces

Combine first 6 ingredients in blender. Place bread, edges touching, single layer in 9 x 13 baking dish. Pour liquid mixture. Place in refrigerator overnight. When ready to cook, pour melted butter evenly over slices. Sprinkle evenly with orange peel and pecans.

Bake in 400°F oven until golden, about 20 to 25 minutes.
