1 c. shortening
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. peanut butter
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla. Stir in peanut butter. Add flour, baking soda and salt to mixture. Drop on ungreased cookie sheet. Press with back of fork. Bake about 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes about 5 dozen.
