1 c. shortening
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. peanut butter
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Sift together dry ingredients. Cream shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla well. Then add peanut butter. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Shape dough into balls and press with fork on greased cookie sheet. Bake until golden brown in preheated oven 8 to 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes 3 dozen large cookies.
