BLACK WALNUT POUND CAKE | |
1 c. butter 1/2 c. shortening 3 c. sugar 5 eggs 1/2 c. chopped black walnuts 3 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 c. milk 1/2 tsp. vanilla Cream butter and shortening with sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each. Mix baking powder and flour; add half to creamed mixture and beat. Add milk and vanilla, then remaining flour. Bake in 10 inch stem pan, greased and floured. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Cool on rack. |
