GLAZED SWEET POTATOES | |
5-6 med. sweet potatoes 2 tbsp. water 1 c. sugar, brown or granulated 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. butter Wash sweet potatoes and boil until nearly done. Drain; remove skins. Cut lengthwise into slices and arrange in a baking dish. Make a syrup of boiling water, sugar, and salt. Add butter. Pour syrup over sweet potatoes. Bake at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes or until potatoes are glazed. Baste with syrup 2-3 times during baking. Yields 4 servings. |
