GRANDMA'S BLONDE BROWNIES 
1 1/2 sticks butter
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
9 oz. chocolate chips (3/4 of 12 oz. bag)
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts (opt.)

Melt butter in pan over low heat. Remove from heat. Add sugar and mix well. Stir in eggs, sifted dry ingredients, chocolate chips and nuts. Bake in greased 13"x9" pan at 350 degrees for 25 to 35 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
