“SOFT MOLASSES COOKIES” IS IN:

SOFT MOLASSES COOKIES 
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 egg
1 cup soft shortening
1/2 cup light molasses
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
Raisins for topping

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt together into large mixing bowl.

Put remaining ingredients except raisins into blender container, cover and blend until smooth.

Pour into dry ingredients and mix well. Refrigerate for 1 hour.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets, top each with a raisin.

Bake 12 to 15 minutes.

Yield: 6 to 7 dozen
