SCALLOPED POTATOES WITH PORK
CHOPS
 
6 pork chops, 1/2 inch thick
1 tbsp. oil
5 c. sliced potatoes
6 slices American cheese
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. onion
1 1/4 c. milk
1 can cream of celery soup (or mushroom)

Brown one side of pork chops and save the drippings. Grease 9 x 13 inch pan. Put 1/2 of the potatoes in pan. Put cheese on top of potatoes. Put in rest of potatoes. Place pork chops on top with browned side down. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook onion in drippings. Add soup and milk into onion and heat until warm. Pour over pork chops. Cover with foil and bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Remove foil and bake 1/2 hour longer until potatoes are done. Use a 9 x 13 inch pan.
