HEARTY CORN CHOWDER 
4 slices bacon, chopped
1 med. onion, chopped
1 (12 oz.) pkg. frozen hashed brown potatoes
1 can whole kernel corn, drained
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. fresh ground pepper
1/4 tsp. thyme
3 c. half and half

In saucepan cook bacon until crisp; set aside. In drippings, saute onion until tender. Add potatoes, corn, salt, pepper, thyme and half and half. Simmer over medium heat 5 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Sprinkle with bacon. Serves 4.
