DUTCH HOT SALAD 
1 med. onion
6 lg. potatoes
1/2 lb. bacon
1/2 head lettuce
6 hard-cooked eggs
1/2 stick butter

Boil potatoes until cooked. Drain water and mash with butter and dash of milk. Brown bacon and diced onion in fry pan until crisp. Drain fat. Chop up bacon and add to potatoes. Shred lettuce and add to mixture. Quarter hard-cooked eggs and fold into potatoes. Add salt and pepper to taste.
