GERMAN STYLE POTATOES 
1/2 lb. bacon, cut up and fried (save bacon grease)
Vinegar
Sugar
Potatoes, peeled and boiled
Onions, chopped
Salt
Pepper

Potatoes need to be sliced, not mashed. Put onion in over raw potatoes. Put fried bacon over potatoes. Measure bacon grease, pour back into pan. Add same amount of sugar and vinegar that you have of bacon grease. Pour vinegar and sugar into bacon grease. Heat until sugar is melted. Pour over potatoes. Stir until all is mixed. Salt and pepper to taste.
