NEWPORT TEXAS CHILI 
1 lb. hamburger
1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1 sm. can mushrooms
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 bay leaf
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, drained
2 oz. chopped chili peppers

Brown hamburger and onion. Add rest of ingredients. Simmer for 1/2 hour. Serve with shredded Cheddar cheese and a dollop of sour cream.
