CORN BREAD 
1 1/2 c. plain white cornmeal
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 egg
1/3 c. shortening, melted

Mix dry ingredients in mixing bowl.

1/4 c. water
1/2 c. boiling water
1/2 c. milk, sweet or butter

Mix well. Pour in greased pan. Bake 25 minutes or until done.
