POTTED BEEF 
2 lbs. stew beef (in chunks)
10 1/2 oz. can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 scant can (use soup can to measure) burgundy or other dry red wine
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
Sliced onions, optional
Sliced mushrooms, optional

Put beef into crock pot. Add all other ingredients and stir. Set crock pot on low for 10 to 12 hours or on high for 5 to 7 hours. (If you have no crock pot, this may be baked in a covered casserole in 325 degree oven for 2 to 3 hours, until tender.) Serve over noodles. Makes 6 servings.
