GLAZED CINNAMON BARS | |
1 c. butter 1 c. packed brown sugar 1 egg, separated 1 3/4 c. flour 1 tbsp. cinnamon Pinch salt 1/2 c. unsifted powdered sugar 1 c. walnuts, chopped 1. Put butter, brown sugar and egg yolk into a bowl; beat until creamy. Blend flour, cinnamon and salt; add to creamed mixture and mix well. Spread in an even layer in a lightly greased 15x10x1 inch jelly roll pan. 2. Beat egg white until frothy. Stir in powdered sugar. Brush mixture over layer in pan. Sprinkle with walnuts. 3. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. While hot cut into bars. Makes 2 dozen. |
