DOUGHNUT TWIST 
3 1/4 to 3 1/2 c. flour
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 c. milk
6 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg

In large bowl mix 1 3/4 cup flour with yeast. Heat milk and butter to warm stage; add to dry mixture in bowl; add 1 egg, beat at high speed for approximately 3 minutes. Add remaining flour and knead by hand. Place in warm area, let rise double in bulk. Punch down and let rest 10 minutes. Divide dough into 24 pieces. Roll each piece to form ropes, fold in half and twist. Let rise until nearly double. Fry 375 degrees for 2-3 minutes. Roll the twist in sugar or mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Excellent.
