HEATHER'S SLOW COOKER SPAGHETTI
MEAT SAUCE
 
This recipe is so easy to make, cooks all day for you, and makes the home smell great! Don't be surprised if your neighbors come knocking on your door for the recipe!

3 (28 oz. ea.) cans crushed tomatoes
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 onion, chopped
5 fresh garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp. dried oregano
2 tbsp. dried sweet basil
2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. salt
1 lb. ground beef

In a frying pan, melt butter on medium. Add onion and cook on medium until lightly brown and transparent. Place cooked onion and all other ingredients, except for ground beef, into the Crock-Pot. Stir and cover on low.

Cook ground beef on medium-high in that same frying pan, until brown completely. Drain fat, and place meat into the sauce, stir and cover. Cook on low for 7 hours. Stir well, turn Crock-Pot down to warm setting (if possible), for 1 more hour to thicken.
