WADE'S CHICKEN & DUMPLINGS | |
1 chicken 1 can cream of chicken soup 2 c. flour 1/3 c. shortening 1/2 c. milk 2 tbsp. butter Boil chicken until tender and meat is falling off bones. Save broth. Combine flour, shortening and milk. Roll into thin dough and cut into short strips. Combine chicken broth, cream of chicken soup and butter in boiler. Bring to a boil. After broth has come to a boil slowly add strips of dough. Reduce heat to simmer, cover and cook for 40 minutes. Do not stir or peek. |
