HOMEMADE ROLLS
2 c. milk
2 pkgs. yeast
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. melted Crisco (can use butter flavored)
2 eggs
5 c. plain flour

Heat 2 cups milk over low heat until just warm. Add two packages of yeast, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon salt; mix well. Add 2 1/2 cups flour; mix well. Melt 1/2 cup Crisco; add and mix well. Add 2 eggs and work really well.

Add 2 1/2 cups flour and work well on floured board. Oil large bowl; add dough. Cover with cloth and let rise for 45 minutes. Knead on floured board again and place back in bowl. Let rise for 45 minutes, then knead again, making 3 times that you have kneaded in a 1 1/2 hour period. After the third time the dough is kneaded, roll out into rolls and place in buttered baking dish. Brush tops with melted butter and bake at 450 degrees.
