GINGER COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
1 egg
4 tbsp. Brer Rabbit baking molasses Gold Label
2 c. flour
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves, ground
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream the butter, Crisco, sugar and beaten egg. Add Brer Rabbit syrup and beat well. Add dry ingredients, and mix well by hand. Roll in balls about the size of a large marble, then roll the balls in granulated sugar. Place on greased cookie sheets. Bake for 10 minutes in oven at 350 degrees.
