GINGER CUT OUT COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 egg
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 tsp. orange rind
2 tbsp. corn syrup
3 c. white flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and beat until light and fluffy. Add orange rind and corn syrup and mix well. Mix dry ingredients and combine with moist mixture. Chill overnight. Roll 1/4 inch thick, cut out and put on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes about 6 dozen.
