BAKED CHOW MEIN | |
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 1 c. chopped celery 1 chopped green pepper 2 tbsp. chopped onion 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 can cream of chicken soup 1 1/2 c. water 3 tbsp. soy sauce 1/2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/2 c. uncooked rice (not Minute Rice) Chow mein noodles Brown the ground beef, celery, green pepper and onion together. Drain any fat; set aside. In a separate large bowl, combine mushroom and chicken soup, then add water, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce and rice. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add ground beef mixture and stir well. Pour into 13x9x2 inch Pyrex and bake covered at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Then uncover. Sprinkle chow mein noodles on top and bake 20 minutes without aluminum foil. Tastes great! |
