CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE | |
3 c. sugar 3 c. sifted cake flour 5 eggs 1/2 c. Crisco 2 sticks butter 5 tbsp. cocoa 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt ICING: 1 box powdered sugar 5 tbsp. cocoa 1 stick butter Vanilla to taste Pet milk to right consistency (about 1 c.) Cream sugar, butter and shortening; add eggs (one at a time). Sift cocoa, flour, baking powder and salt. Fold in half dry mixture; mix well and fold in other half. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Combine icing ingredients and ice cool cake. Drewryville, VA |
