GENERAL SMITH'S HOT FUDGE
TOPPING
 
1/4 lb. butter
4 sq. semi-sweet chocolate

Melt together. Add:

2 1/2 c. sugar

Stir slowly with wooden spoon. Add:

1/2 c. white Karo
Dash of salt, optional
1 lg. can Carnation milk

Stir constantly. Bring to a boil. Pour up. Refrigerate.

Makes 1 quart.
