SUMMER FRUIT CAKE 
1 c. softened butter
2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1 c. milk
4 eggs
3 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla extract

Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after reach. Mix flour and baking powder and add to mixture, alternating it with milk. Finally, mix in vanilla extract.

Bake cake mixture in three layers instead of two by distributing batter evenly among the 3 greased pans. Bake for about 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees.
