SPINACH-CHEESE ROUNDS | |
1 pkg. puff pastry sheets 1 egg, beaten 1 tbsp. water 1/2 cup shredded Pepper Jack cheese 1/4 grated Parmesan cheese 1 green onion, chopped (about 2 tbsp.) 2 tsp. chopped fresh parsley 1 tsp. garlic powder 10 oz. package frozen, chopped spinach, thawed and well drained Thaw pastry at room temperature 30 minutes. Pre-heat oven to 350°FF. Mix egg and water and set aside. Mix Pepper Jack, Parmesan, onion, parsley, and garlic powder and set aside. Unfold pastry on lightly floured surface. Brush with egg mixture. Top with cheese mixture and spinach. Starting at one side, roll up like a jelly roll. Cut into 20 (1/2-inch) slices. Place 2-inches apart on baking sheet. Brush with egg mixture. Bake 15 minutes or until golden. Makes 20 appetizers. |
