ITALIAN MEATLOAF | |
3/4 c. oats (uncooked) 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 (2 1/2 oz.) can ripe olives, drained 1 tbsp. instant minced onion 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning 1 lb. lean ground beef 1/8 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 c. part-skim Mozzarella cheese, shredded Heat oven to 375 degrees. Combine oats, 1/4 cup tomato sauce, 1/4 cup sliced olives, 1 teaspoon onion and Italian seasoning. Add ground beef; mix lightly but thoroughly. Shape to form 4 (4 x 2-inch) loaves. Place in 8-inch square glass baking dish. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until meat is done; drain. Combine remaining tomato sauce, olives, onion and garlic powder. Cook over low heat for 3 to 5 minutes or until hot. Spoon sauce over loaves; sprinkle with cheese. Return to oven until cheese is melted. |
