COUNTRY FRIED STEAK 
Cut round steak into serving pieces and pound with something like the open end of a coke bottle. Salt, pepper and dredge in flour; fry in about 1/2 inch or less of grease in heavy skillet. Remove steak from pan. The remaining grease except about 1 tablespoon should also be removed. Add sufficient water to skillet to make gravy; replace steak in pan and simmer until meat is tender.
