EASIEST & BEST HOMEMADE ALFREDO
SAUCE

This by far is the easiest and best Alfredo sauce recipe I have found yet! I love pasta and Alfredo and searched forever to make it homemade. I think that too many recipes have too many ingredients and that others are too watery. My girlfriend loves it and makes me cook it at least once a week.. plus you can add it to so many different things! This is a great, simple recipe to make for someone coming over for a dinner date ;)

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 cup half and half
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon garlic powder (optional)
pepper, to taste

1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter.

2. Once butter is almost melted, add the package of cream cheese. It's easiest to cut it into 4 pieces so that it melts quicker.

3. Once butter and cream cheese are mixed well together, add the cup of half and half, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and then shake pepper on top. Stir all together until well mixed.

4. Once it's mixed well and sauce-like, take it off the burner and set aside so it can thicken up. Stir every few moments.

5. DONE! Pour over your favorite pasta, I love it with tortellini!

Don't forget some bread-sticks to dip in the extra sauce! :)

Wow! This Alfredo Sauce is so good that you can just drink it and don't have to worry about pouring it over any type of pasta or rice!

Worked out well only problem I had was this stuff is so heavy. I could eat only one small plate and I can feel my heart pounding.

Love the recipe! It is very easy and tasty! I did use real garlic instead of e powder, and I would go heavy on the pepper. A single recipe is good for a couple, and doubled is an excellent family size. Great over pasta and broccoli.

I'm a terrible cook but my husbands dietary restrictions (no garlic, no onions) have left us no choice but to make our own sauce. I cannot believe how delicious it was. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You saved pasta night and best of all...it was so easy!!

I usually used jarred alfredo sauce cause I haven't had much luck making it in the past but I tried this recipe because I really wanted to make out hamburger bacon alfredo and had no jarred sauce and let me tell you I may never buy jarred again this was awesome!!! I used 2% milk in place of the half and half and it turned out great!!

This was great, it was easy and fast. We did not have the Parmesan cheese as well, but had smoked Gouda, which gave the sauce a little bit of smokey flavor. Great sauce! Thanks

Thank you for sharing this. A company worthy recipe that is fast, easy, creamy and delicious. I used 1 crushed garlic clove instead of the garlic powder and fresh shaved parmesean off of a big wedge (not the stuff in a can). I am looking forward to trying this with chicken, crab, shrimp, peppers, mushrooms and/or broccoli. We had this with tortelini as a side dish but it is worthy of being a complete meal. I printed this one...it's a keeper.
