GRANDMA'S GINGER SNAPS | |
3/4 c. shortening 1 c. sugar 1/4 c. white syrup 2 c. sifted flour 1 egg, beaten 2 tsp. baking soda (level) 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. ground ginger 1/2 tsp. cloves Cream shortening and sugar. Add syrup and egg. Cream well. Add dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Roll into small balls. Dip one side in sugar. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Cool. Makes 4 dozen. |
