CHOCOLATE STRIPE CRISPIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1/3 tsp. salt
1 3/4 c. unsifted flour
3 c. corn flakes
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate pieces (bits)

Mix butter and sugar and vanilla. Add flour, soda and salt to mixture. Note: Crunch the 3 cups of corn flakes with fingers (it will then measure 1 1/2 cups).

In a double boiler, melt chocolate bits, stirring constantly. Then add corn flakes to cookie mixture. Stir in. Next add melted chocolate bits. Swirl in. Preheat oven to 375 degrees, drop by leveled tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 12 minutes (or until done). Makes 4 dozen.
