POLYNESIAN BARS 
3 c. oatmeal
1 c. millet flour
1 c. unsweetened coconut
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. fresh orange juice
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix flour, oatmeal, coconut, nuts and salt together. Add orange juice and moisten thoroughly. Cover the bottom of a 9 x 12-inch Pyrex baking dish with half of oatmeal mixture. Pat down. Spread with filling and cover with the rest of the oatmeal mixture. Pat down. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until lightly browned.

FILLING:

2 c. chopped dates
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple

Mix ingredients together in a saucepan. Cook until a consistency that can be spread.
