ONE - STEP TAMALE PIE | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 c. chopped onion 2 cloves minced garlic 2 (8 oz.) cans seasoned tomato sauce 1 c. milk 2 slightly beaten eggs 1 (12 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained 1/2 c. sliced, pitted ripe olives Few dashes bottled hot pepper sauce 3/4 c. yellow cornmeal 2 to 2 1/2 tsp. chili powder 2 tsp. salt In skillet brown ground beef, onion, and garlic. Cook until beef is light brown and onion and garlic is tender. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into greased baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cut into squares and serve. |
