ANGEL PIE | |
5 egg whites 2/3 c. granulated sugar 1/2 c. powdered sugar, sifted Beat egg whites until foamy. Add sugar VERY SLOWLY; granulated first, then powdered. Pour in 9 inch pie pan which has been greased and floured. Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes. FILLING: 4 egg yolks, beaten Juice of 1 lemon Rind of 1 lemon 1/2 c. sugar Cook in double boiler until thick. Spread over meringue and top with 1/2 pint whipped cream. |
