PUNCH BOWL CAKE 
1 box yellow cake mix
3 boxes instant vanilla pudding
8 oz. Cool Whip
1 qt. strawberries, fresh or frozen
1 lg. can crushed pineapple
2 bananas, sliced

Bake cake mix according to directions in 2 round layer pans. Let cool. Prepare pudding as directed.

Place 1 layer in bottom of punch bowl. Poke holes in it. Mix undrained crushed pineapple with bananas and spread over first layer. Spread half of the vanilla pudding over pineapple mix. Place second cake layer on top of pudding. Poke holes in it. Pour strawberries and juice over second cake layer. Spread rest of vanilla pudding over strawberries. Spread Cool Whip over pudding.

Decorate with maraschino cherries or whole strawberries. Sprinkle ground nuts over all. Refrigerate overnight. To serve, dip down with large handle spoon. Makes a lot.
