GELATIN POKE CAKE 
1 pkg. white cake mix
1 pkg. Jello
1 c. boiling water
1/2 c. cold water

Prepare cake as directed on package. Pour into well-greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean. Cool cake in pan 15 minutes, then prick with fork at 1/2 inch intervals. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add cold water and carefully pour over cake. Chill 3 to 4 hours. Frost with whipped topping.

CHRISTMAS RAINBOW POKE CAKE:

1 pkg. red Jello, dissolved in 1 c. boiling water
1 pkg. green Jello, dissolved in 1 c. boiling water
Whipped topping

Bake cake in 2 layers. Pour 1 package of red Jello dissolved in 1 cup boiling water over one layer and 1 package green Jello dissolved in 1 cup boiling water over other layer. Chill 3 to 4 hours. Dip cake pan in warm water for 10 seconds to unmold. Frost with whipped topping.
