SWEET PICKLE CHIPS 
14 cucumbers
3 c. vinegar
8 c. sugar
1 c. water
2 tbsp. mixed spices
2 tbsp. salt (canning)

Wash cucumbers and drain them. Place in a crock and pour fresh boiling water over them, using enough to cover the cucumbers. Let stand until the following day and then drain them. Cover with fresh boiling water; this process needs repeated for 4 days.

On the 5th day, drain and rinse cucumbers and then cut into slices. Combine all the listed ingredients. Bring to a boil and then pour over the pickles. Pour off and reheat to boiling, do this for 4 days. On the last day, heat and seal in jars. (I do not add spices until the last 2 days.)
