ENGLISH HOT SLAW 
Sm. head of cabbage
1/2 c. vinegar
4 tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. celery seed
2 tbsp. olive oil

Shred small head of cabbage. Set aside. Mix 1/2 cup vinegar, 4 tablespoons sugar, 1/4 cup water, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon celery seed and 2 tablespoons olive oil. Heat mixture to boiling point.

Pour over shredded cabbage and toss quickly. Put a tight lid on pot (to hold heat) and keep warm until served. Serve 10 minutes after preparing.
