QUICHE LORRAINE
DOUGH:

1/2 lb. butter
3 1/2 c. flour
1 egg
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. warm water

In bowl or food processor, mix butter, flour, egg and salt. Add warm water to form pie dough. Put in refrigerator, cover and let set a few hours. Using a 10 inch pan, form crust. (Makes dough for 2 pans - you can freeze half for another time.)

FILLING:

1/3 lb. ham, chopped fine
1/3 lb. Swiss cheese, chopped fine
1/3 lb. bacon, browned, crumbled
6 eggs
1 pt. whipping cream
Dash nutmeg
Dash salt
2 tsp. butter

Combine ham and Swiss cheese and sprinkle in pastry lined pie pan. Add bacon. Beat eggs slightly; beat in whipping cream, nutmeg and salt. Pour mixture into pie pan. Dot with butter. Bake at 325 for 45 minutes or until set and crust is browned.

(Can substitute smoked turkey and different cheeses or veggies if you like.)
