STUFFED CABBAGE ROLLS 
2 heads cabbage (steam until leaves can be removed without tearing)
3 lbs. ground beef
1 lg. can tomato sauce
1 onion
3/4 c. cooked rice
2 c. brown sugar
1 lb. sauerkraut
Salt & pepper

Mix meat with salt and pepper, 1/3 cup tomato sauce and rice. Stir well. Roll mixture inside cabbage leaves. Put a layer of kraut and sliced onion on bottom of pot. Layer cabbage rolls, onions and more kraut. Put rolls of cabbage on top layer. Pour tomato sauce and brown sugar over all. Cook over low heat 3 hours. Better if made a day ahead. Serves 6 to 8.
