BLACK FOREST OATMEAL FANCIES 
1 c. Butter flavor Crisco
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 2/3 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 c. quick oats (not instant or old fashioned)
1 baking bar (6 oz.) white chocolate coarsely chopped
3 baking bars (2 oz. each) semi sweet chocolate coarsely chopped
1/2 c. coarsely chopped red candied cherries
1/2 c. sliced almonds

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Combine shortening, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Combine flour, baking soda, salt and baking powder. Mix into creamed mixture at low speed until well blended. Stir in, one at a time, oats, white chocolate, semi sweet chocolate, cherries and nuts with spoon. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 9 to 11 minutes or until set. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove to cooling rack.
