5 egg whites
2 c. white sugar
2 c. cake flour, sifted 3 times

Add 1 cup boiling water to sugar and flour. Mix well and cool. Add 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar to egg whites and beat stiff. Sprinkle 2 teaspoons baking powder over egg whites and fold in. Then add this to first mixture. Grease and flour 9 x 13 pan. Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
